It's real simple - we let the Bible help kids have conversations about their lives and the curveballs they're encountering.

First, we fascilitate the topic - often something
that has a theme over several weeks.

Next, we give the kids a chance to talk about the issue
in a way that is honest and relevant to their lives. This gives
the adult leader a chance to listen to the values and
lifestyle issues they are sorting through.

After that, we turn to the Bible to hear what God has to say
about it all. This is where the kids really dig in and learn
how to read the Bible and let them Bible "read them."

Finally, we ask the "now what?" question.
Maybe it's a challenge for the week or a chance for the tweens
to take better ownership of the "big idea." Either way, we're
finding that they are retaining a lot and genuinely getting
a lot out of this time geared specifically for them.

This is Josina K Joy,
a child the students of Tween Connection sponsor through Compassion International.

The tweens have taken great ownership in raising the funds necessary to care for her,
and we're excited to get behind them as they care for her in the name of Jesus and exchange encouraging letters from afar.
