My first memory of knowing about God was when I was about 8 years old.  From that point forward I always had a love for Him but I didn't begin building a relationship with Him until I came to Connection Church . 

What do I mean by building a relationship with God?  By building a relationship I mean really getting to know him by spending time with him.  The messages I listened to at Connection Church filled me with a desire to want to know more. I began reading the Bible with a different perspective. Instead of struggling through it, and I began to look forward to “what happened next”. I am even able to share the things I question during my reading with my pastor who is able to clarify things or lead me to resources that can help.

A friend of mine told me that she had always wanted a Christian friend. This surprised me because we had been friends since high school and I had always considered myself a Christian. When I explained this to my friend she told me that since my coming to Connection Church she has noticed a great change in me – she has noticed that I have become a woman of faith. This was probably one of the best compliments I had ever received. 

To me this meant that she could see God's love through me and that I was doing my best to live my life according to His ways.
