As a child growing up, my family always went to church. It never had much of an impact on me though. I went to church every Sunday, listened to what people told me about God, and left without thinking about any of it again.

I never really considered my relationship with God until I joined a youth group at a church that we had been going to. It was at that point that I truly became connected with God. I became very involved in that group and I am so thankful for that. We moved when I was 13 to Ohio, from IL, and I lost that youth group and my connection with God. I went down some very bad paths and made very bad
decisions.

Eight years after that move, Connection Church came into my life. At that point, everything changed. I became highly involved with set-up and the worship team. God was back in my life and I was so excited about that.

God has gotten me through so much and I am so grateful for Connection Church. If it were not for this church, I fear where I would be!

When I got the chance to help with Teen Connection, I was so excited! Being young is hard and I want to help teens as much as I can, through the church and in my daily life (I'm working toward a teaching degree for secondary education). My goal is to let God work through me to help teens and keep them from going through everything that I went through.
