Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized
they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and
made coverings for themselves. (Genesis 3:7)
God loves us and gave us the ability to choose.
In order for this to truly be freewill, there had to
be the possibility of a bad choice. Thankfully, God is
good, though - He warned us so we wouldn't find
our worth in anything other than Him.
But we believed the lie of a snake who seemed to be on our side, just as he tries to seem today. Our divine adultery broke the world. Right after this, we hid - us, not God.
And we got so used to hiding behind things that we still do this today. Even though coming out of hiding is the best idea, the fear of nakedness and shame paralyzes us... another lie.
Yet in our darkest moment... Hope was revealed.
