Are you ready to take your next step
into a more fully-alive life?

Are you hungry for some practical insights to help make that happen?

That’s where LIFE GROUPS come in.
A Life Group is a mid-sized community
of Connection Church participants
looking to experience a deeper
connection with God and others.

This isn't meant to be another thing...
it's meant to help you with the
One Thing.

(God uses relationships to grow our faith)

Plain and simple, we believe in relationships. The Bible is one Story made up of several writings that were meant to be read in community with others. There's a reason for this… as hard as we may try to live in our own power and opinions, we all know that others can help us reconnect with what's really going on in life.

Jesus created His Church to be just that, and LIFE Groups are one core way we are attempting to put it all together. Each is a bit different than another, whether it's by content and the way things are explored or simply by the unique personality each group takes on through its participants. Either way, we end up forming encouraging friendships around the truths of God, allowing powerful growth to happen from every direction.

For our next round of LIFE GROUPS...

Our next round of Life Groups
will begin in early October.

If you're a part of Connection Church, we always encourage you to pop in on any group - whether you choose to do so topically, geographically, or relationally.

If you aren't yet a part of Connection Church, we encourage you to first get to know us in large community (our Sunday morning gatherings) and make a regular commitment there. This is because Life Groups are not autonomous but are a key part of what we do as a Church... everything we do is interconnected.

Some life groups are:

Bible-themed
Digging into a book or person of the Bible
(i.e. Abraham, Ruth/Esther, Galatians, etc.).

Curriculum-themed
Using a book and study guide to grow in
an aspect of living out your Christianity
(i.e. Christian parenting, addressing the supernatural, attitude issues, freedom from the past, marriage matters, talking about Jesus, etc)

Theology-themed
Growing in a greater understanding of
"how to think about how you think about"
core theological matters
(i.e. Triune God, salvation, end times, etc)

Video-themed
Using a piece of video to prompt spiritual conversation (i.e. a Christian video series like Nooma, pop culture or movie clips, etc)

When and where do LIFE Groups meet?
LIFE Groups meet on various days and times all throughout the community. When a leader/facilitator announces the group, a sign up will happen in our weekend gatherings to help determine the best gathering time for those interested.

What will we do in a LIFE Group?
Every few months we will begin a new semester for LIFE Groups with several suggested options for participants to choose from. While some groups may opt for more of a biblical study, others may choose to engage over topical issues that explore
practical issues from a godly perspective. This will be announced in our Sunday services.

What about childcare?
We leave it up to each family to work out their own childcare. Sometimes it works best for families to share a sitter or to swap childcare with another family whose group meets on a different evening or time. Another idea is to have a babysitter at the host home that all the parents chip in on.

If you have been around Connection Church for a while or are looking for a way to become more relationally connected, LIFE Groups can help you transition from observer to participant.
