All growing Christians eventually ask good questions:
How can I become a self-feeding Christian?
Who did God make me to be?
What can I do to live more and more like Jesus?
When am I supposed to feel like I've made progress?
Why do I have the resources and skills I do?
Where do I start figuring this out?

A Learning Community is a conversational environment that practically helps you with this and living out what Jesus said is most important

  1. Growing in your love for God.
  2. Growing in your love for others.

Jesus also warned that we have a devilish Enemy who will try to "steal, kill, and destroy" the fully-alive life Christ came to offer. So to combat that and live out God's priorities for our lives, here is the goal of any learning community:

We will discover and apply freeing biblical principles so that we can connect with God more completely, love others more generously, and live life more significantly.

The distinction between a typical "class" and a "learning community" is that this is less of
a one-sided presentation and more of a
facilitated discussion among friends.

Meaning, this isn't about you taking notes
(for one thing, we only have half of each experience planned anyway).

This is about you participating through thoughts and questions the material might trigger. The facilitator's role is to help you discover God's truth and what He's stirring up in you... and that is where life change happens.

When and where does a
Learning Community meet?

Most will meet during one of our Sunday morning services. This info will be shared during semesters throughout the year.

Is there a cost involved?
Costs are minimal based on printing needs and any materials that need to be ordered.

What about childcare?
Since most learning communities will occur on Sunday mornings, we suggest that you utilize our Kid's Connection ministry. Otherwise, each family can work out their own childcare.

Next Step
Next Step is an interactive experience where you're introduced to what a growing relationship with God looks like and the role Connection Church might play in that journey. Click here for more info.

The Story
It's time to dissolve the intimidation we might feel about approaching the Bible. Using interactive, hands-on exercises and tools, this learning community offers a “zoomed out” view of "The Story" - God's interaction with people through the many stories that make up His-story... and ours.

Dollars and Sense
Few things can reveal our true priorities than how we choose to handle the financial resources God's given us. This learning community will help you take reexamine what's important by helping you see dollars with a whole lot more sense. Each week will help you find your way out of debt and into a more freed up, generous lifestyle that honors God and gives glue to your budget.

Future Learning Communities
We are always looking to form new Learning Communities based on the growing needs of the people in our community. Future themes may include parenting, marriage matters, figuring out your life's mission, and so on.
