Our gatherings are more than our sermons,
but they do provide an opportunity to let God's living
and active words become living and active in your life.
Each week we open up the Bible and do more than
read it - we let it read us and lead us - the fully-alive life
you've always wanted is closer than you think.

We also have a lot of fun doing this
and hope you catch that vibe.
No masks are needed, so join us
this next Sunday and experience it live
.

Our Lead Pastor Tony Myles is our primary
communicator, however Connection Church utilizes
a variety of in-house and guest teachers to ensure
we remain Christ-centered and Bible-based.

Wonder-Full

Join us for a special Christmas Eve
service on December 24 at 6pm
Do you remember what it was like to not be so cynical? To think or speculate without limits because you were in such amazement and admiration of the world around you? There's nothing like the Christmas season to become curiously optimistic about things you somehow forgot to keep savoring. Along the way you're bound to have a renewed glimmer of how much love God has for you. Marvel in your questions and your answers... each moment is radically precious, uniquely powerful and quite wonder-full.

Behind Closed Doors
The things we say or think behind closed doors have ripples outside of our household. Instead of suppressing the tension, let's open things up together for some fresh, life-giving perspective. No quick fixes promised -- instead, we're unlocking what's needed for the journey ahead.
11/3-11/4 "As Long As You Live In This House..."
(Tony Myles)
11/10-11/11 "You're Not The Person I Married." (Joanie Cahalan, various readers, and a video message)
11/17-11/18 "How Will We Pay For This?" (Tony Myles)
11/24-11/25 "Tell Them I'm Not Available" (Tony Myles)

Monster Mash
Monsters are more than the real, evil forces in the spiritual realm or the fictional special effects creatures in movies. Whether we admit it or not, we can all give into our worst side at times… we zone out like a zombie to certain things and feel like life is on autopilot; something sets us off and an inner werewolf of anger emerges; we turn into a kind of vampire who sucks the life out of others; there’s an assortment of other “B-level” characters that come out on occasion, too. Through this metaphor, we’re going to take a better look not only at ourselves but also what God is capable of doing in us if we let Him. It will be transformational and mash up the undead life we can easily settle for.
10/6-12/7 Zombies (Tony Myles)
10/13-10/14 Werewolves (Tony Myles)
10/20-10/21 Vampires (Tony Myles)
10/27-10/28 B-Level Monsters (Tony Myles)

Reclaiming Normal
This the world isn't normal, and you know it. Normal is a noun that describes the way things should be and were created to be. We’ve turned it into an adjective to describe the way things can be or are. Somewhere along the way we’re tempted to throw in the towel. Take heart, because God promises that one day He will permanently fix and restore all the brokenness in us, others and all of creation. The last two chapters of the Bible reclaim what was set in motion in its first two chapters, like bookends meant to make all the crooked history in between stand upright and realize why it keeps toppling over. It’s why Jesus walked this abnormal earth and lived a normal life - so you can reclaim normal even now in your heart, soul, mind, strength and relationships. This is nothing short of uncommon living in a common world.

Clear
If your vision is out of focus, simple tasks like driving, reading, and writing become difficult to do well. Faith is not all that different. In order to follow Jesus and become more like him, it helps if you can see your faith clearly through a theology that you live by - an understanding of how God and faith play out in our everyday lives. In a shifting culture full of blurry opinions, what do Truth and Christian even look like?

Removing All The Obstacles
It's a simple question yet a profound one - what if all the obstacles were removed in your life... not merely from the absence of hurdles, but by tapping into the fullness of your relationship with God? One of our church Connection Groups is taking over the service (with a little help from some friends) in order to embody and address that opportunity the Lord offers all of us.
07.29.12 Removing All The Obstacles
(Speakers: Marianne Cline, Jeff Cline, Ed White, and the Sunday Night Connection Group)

Do You See What I See?
It's difficult to read the Bible in the context it was written in, let alone understand what life was like before Jesus fulfilled prophecies. This is a three-week walk through some of the minor prophets and the major message they offer on behalf of God to their communities... and out own.

You Are Here
You may not be able to change how you spend each day, but you can change how you spend it and who you spend it for. God has something epic for you to do right now, because you are "here" - wherever "here" happens to be. You don't have to wait for your life to change for your life to change - He is calling you to join His story, whether you're staring at a pile of laundry, the walls of a cubicle or the same faces that you saw yesterday. You are here, and it's holy ground. (This series is linked to Pastor Tony's forthcoming book "You Are Here")

The Naked Truth
Life can feel like we're living in reaction to it, from how people treat us to what we expect is going to happen in any given day. Our temptation is to hide behind everything from a personality we construct to get through it to habits we create that end up holding us back from a real Life. Only by uncovering what we usually cover up can we allow God to show us the naked truth.

Good Things Skeptics Believe
There are some things that people who are skeptical about Christianity have correct. Often these ideas, questions, thoughts and traits get swept under the rug... but they can actually help form a stronger faith in who God is than what blind faith or hard-hearted atheism can come up with alone. Some of the most significant people in the First Century Church started out as skeptics, which is why their lives became so impactful over the long-haul. Imagine the difference in our own lives if we embrace the good things skeptics believe.

Reveal Revival Services
The Bible is clear - God will not force Himself on you but will move into whatever space you give Him. That's why we set aside each night of "Holy Week" - the Monday through Friday leading up to Easter weekend - for a powerful time of being reawakened to the glories of who Jesus Christ is... for as we reveal Him, we experience a personal revival.

Jesus Uncensored

Sometimes the things we wish Jesus didn't say can become the very things we're ultimately grateful He did say. His seemingly hard words aren't a whip, but a rope that can pull us up out of the hole we're in. Even when following Him doesn't change our circumstances, it can change us on the inside. God is for you in more ways than you may realize... if you're willing to let Him freely speak.

Games People Play
The games of childhood may have more to do with real life than we ever thought. We spend so much energy trying to make sure that we come ahead of everyone else in everything... but aren't you tired of living like that yet?

Shocking Bible Stories
Talking donkeys. Bear assassins. Left-handed heroes. Some things in the Bible can at first glance leave us shocked and scratching our heads. Even these odd passages can speak to us in all their practical bizarreness, though… IF we don’t skip over them. Maybe the shocking weirdness in your life needs a shocking Bible story.

When you're hit with something heavy or struggle with a hot topic that you feel stuck on, you become open to a spiritual dialogue you may not be ready for. The Bible has a lot to say about these themes, and we can get ahead of those curveballs in Spirit and in Truth. This series is comprised of questions people most wanted addressed with respect, dignity and Truth.
